| Competition There are many “Coaching Groups” in Kerala as well as many agencies that are competing for the Guidance of the students who have passed CGFNS. Their hopes are to help these students in immigration process. But Our American experience is unique. Our commitment to the well being of our students is also unique. Our location in Kerala with our close affiliation with partners in the US has been proved successful campaign in reaching our goal. |
| Business Concept The teaching staff at the center are current in nursing skills and we are thoroughly versed in the practice of nursing in the US. We have visiting nurses and professors from the USA who incorporate the nursing/medical terminology into their lectures and provide updates in clinical practice. During the fall of 2002 Ms. Barbara McCabe RN, BSN from New Jersey taught 3 Months, classes in Legal Ethical Issues, Professional Practice, Hospice Care, AIDS Care etc. |
| Problem and opportunities Communication problems between India and the US who wants to employ our nurses have caused some delay in the immigration process. We are making periodic visits with the concerned Group in order to solve this problem. The level of proficiency of the English language has been an impediment for some students, making it more difficult to pass the exam. We have incorporated English classes into our curriculum with an emphasis on the comprehension and expression of English. This is done through daily presentations by students of Case Scenarios role play & compulsory usage of English in and around the institute during the training period. |

| To increase enrollment from 100 students per month
to two hundred students per month. In Nov.2003, CGFNS exam had 1500 students sit the exam. We had 134 of those students. This was almost 10% of the market share. In five years we expect 50% of the market. We placed 113 nurses between Nov.2002 and Nov.2004 and all are earning more than $25 per hour salary and other benefits. About 250 nurses are awaiting the embassy interview. We have 280 nurses in different stages of Green card processing. More than 60 nurses got the INS approval during 2006. More than 1800 nurses passed IELTS/CGFNS through Chembola and are working at different hospitals |
